Swimming with the Swamis
Race Swami Belle Haven exists to give young people from Belle Haven, East Palo Alto and east Menlo Park a real competitive swimming experience, in a healthy and stimulating environment where they can grow, compete and have fun while learning from coaches who care about them.
We are a member club of USA Swimming and compete under the sanction of Pacific Swimming, the local affiliate. All ages and skill levels are welcome, we run year round, and we take new athletes at any time of year regardless of ability to pay.
Pre-Swami
Level:
Beginners, water safety first
Training:
Tue & Thu, 5:00–5:45pm
Our entry-level group. Two sessions a week of about an hour, including a short introductory dryland block, focused on water safety and getting a beginner ready for the competitive team.
Rising Swami
Level:
Generally ages 6–10
Training:
Mon, Tue & Thu, 4:30–5:30pm
An entry-level, development-oriented competitive group. Three one-hour sessions a week plus fifteen minutes of dryland on each of those days.
Junior Swami
Level:
Junior Swami
Training:
Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri, 4:00–6:00pm
For swimmers moving from intermediate toward a more advanced goal. Four two-hour sessions a week, thirty minutes of which is dryland.

Every Swami practice happens at the pool on the Belle Haven Community Campus, a few minutes from anywhere in Belle Haven or East Palo Alto. The pool desk is at (650) 781-5578.

Tryouts are free and we hold them year round. No experience needed, and no family is turned away over cost.
